What is Creativity?Creativity is the most economical resource in the 21st century (Kaufman & Beghetto, 2009). It is the ability to think outside the ordinary and expected and express it as an original idea (Runco & Jaeger, 2012). Whilst there is not one standard definition for creativity, originality and effectiveness are a main theme, but there are many other factors that needs to be considered when defining it to give full recognition of its dynamic phenomenon (Corazza, 2016).

The Four C Model supports creativity and gives us a deeper insight to contributing factors as it recognises what it involved in reflecting creativity (Beghetto & Kaufman, 2009). Many adults struggle to identify what is considered to be creative, especially when you grow older, as you imagine creativity to be reflected more so in activities that children engage in. In saying this the four C model is able to help us identify these activities.
